Benefits for schools
Doodle is valued by schools for a variety of reasons:
It creates every child a personalised work programme tailored to their strengths and weaknesses
It's proven to boost confidence and raise attainment
It automatically finds, closes and tracks each child's learning gaps
It provides a uniform baseline assessment across the school and makes it easy to track progress, including the % of EoY objectives covered
It's paperless — pupils can access Doodle on a phone, tablet, laptop or desktop
It ensures that work is achievable, yet sufficiently challenging, for all
It gives a consistent homework provision for all members of the school
It saves teachers up to two hours per week — there's no need to set, mark or record paper-based differentiated homework
It can be used offline and outside of school, even during the summer holidays
Every school we work with is assigned a dedicated School Success Advisor who works with the school's lead teacher to create a strategy that suits the school’s individual needs.
Our technology
By setting work at just the right level of challenge, Doodle empowers all children to work independently, regardless of their ability. Explanations are available for all questions and challenging exercises can be saved to revisit later, making it ideal for use in school or at home.
Staff can view their pupils’ progress from the Teacher Dashboard, an intuitive online hub. From here, they can see each child's learning gaps, track overall progress and easily set work in any topic of the curriculum, making it easy to provide extra support where needed.
Designed to be used for 10 minutes a day, Doodle's interactive exercises, educational games and virtual rewards keep children motivated and engaged. By rewarding effort over ability, it enables all pupils to work alongside each other and, most importantly, boosts confidence.
Technical proposal
All of the Doodle programmes are available to download on Apple, Android and Amazon devices. They can also be accessed via a browser on Windows, Macs, Chromebooks and Learnpads.
Doodle can be accessed offline and automatically syncs progress data between devices, making it ideal for using in school or at home. Teachers can track pupil progress and set custom work through the online Teacher Dashboard. We provide an unlimited number of teacher logins for the Dashboard.
Parents can track their child's progress through the online Parent Dashboard and receive regular updates by downloading the free DoodleConnect app.
"When putting together a strategy for home learning, we realised that for maths and English all we needed was Doodle!”

New feature: Introducing baseline assessment mode
Designed to be used once a term, baseline assessments give teachers an in-depth view of each child’s learning gaps, helping to inform teaching.
Doodle automatically closes learning gaps through each child's personalised work programme, removing the need for setting differentiated work.
Baseline assessments also make it easy to track progress. The % of EoY objectives covered and changes in learning gaps can be viewed and exported at any time, making it ideal for lesson planning and evidencing the impact of intervention.
Step 1: Find gaps Use baseline assessment mode once a term for a snapshot view of each child's gaps.
Step 2: Close gaps Doodle will automatically target each pupil's gaps in their personalised work programme.
+
Step 3: Track progress View progress over time, including the % of EoY objectives covered, and export the results for school records.
Enhancing your experience
Over the past year, we've added lots of fantastic new features to improve Doodle for teachers, parents and children:
Updated user interface: We've given Doodle a sleek new design and have introduced the Learning Zone, a dynamic hub that puts every child in control of their learning.
Interactive concept explanations: Concept explanations now combine short explanations with hands-on activities to introduce new topics to children.
New types of exercise: We've introduced Power Ups, a new type of exercise that regularly revises the topics a child is finding challenging.
Online training for all staff: Made up of short videos and interactive tours, our new Online Teacher Training allows teachers to dip in and out at their convenience and become Doodle Certified Teachers in as little as 30 minutes.
Web-browser versions: All of our programmes are available via web browsers, improving their accessibility.
Expanded curriculum: We've added even more curriculum content to all of our programmes, including Early Years content in DoodleMaths.
DoodleCoaching: Our new maths recovery programme is designed to accelerate progress, boost confidence and close learning gaps.
